Simon Kogan, a resident of New York City, is a senior litigator with over 20 years experience in complex cases from inception to trial and beyond. He has personally managed dozens of arbitration and related matters for both brokers and public customers and generated over $400,000 per year in annual billings. Mr. Kogan has a long history as a partner in boutique securities firm where developed and maintained firm's intranet and use of technology for litigation support. Through his private practice and in cooperation with other lawyers, Mr. Kogan handles civil litigation and private securities matters, including private placements and reverse mergers. From 1993-95, Mr. Kogan taught legal writing as an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School.
Key accomplishments:
Mr. Kogan wrote the portion of brief resulting in the ultimate repeal of the NASD's professional trading rules. Successfully defended SEC enforcement actions and was awarded fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act. He also won reversal of sanctions in NASDR Expedited Remedial Proceeding.
