Legal work appears to be approaching commodity status.

 

In my estimation, the increasing popularity of outsourcing work to foreign countries and the rapid proliferation of information through technology are contributing factors.  I have seen legal outsourcing operations represented by flow charts and websites for self-help legal document production. While these services may be useful for their intended purpose, the trend they represent is antithetical to my goal here.  

For me, legal research, writing, and analysis are the most rewarding part of my work as a lawyer. I founded OS Counsel.com because I wanted to maximize my exposure to that work and surround myself with like-minded attorneys.

 

My goal is to form relationships between professionals. Beyond the modern technology and novel approach is a purpose as old as the law itself: lawyers getting together to solve legal problems for clients.
